Compact Stainless Steel Bearings for Tight, Wet or Hygienic Enclosures
Ningbo Aosen Bearing Co., Ltd. is the SS 6800 Series Stainless Steel Deep Groove Ball Bearings manufacturer behind a thin-section range designed for equipment where radial space is limited and corrosion resistance matters. The series keeps the classic deep groove raceway that carries radial and light axial loads, but packages it in a smaller outer diameter and width envelope. We offer the family from model SS 686 through SS 6810, with open, shielded and sealed configurations for motors, instruments, pumps and food-processing machinery.
This is a compact series by deliberate choice. In small motor end caps, conveyor rollers, flow meters, dental handpieces and outdoor actuators, the bearing is often not the sizing constraint; the housing around it is. The SS 6800 series lets you shrink that housing while retaining predictable rolling-element performance and stainless steel resistance to moisture and mild chemical exposure.
Why the SS 6800 Series is in Our Program
We originally built this category for customers who needed stainless steel reliability without paying for a larger cross-section than the application required. The 6800 series is one of the more compact metric deep groove families, and in stainless steel it earns its place wherever washing, condensation or humidity would quickly attack standard chrome steel bearings.
- Thin-section rings reduce radial space and overall mass.
- Deep raceway grooves maintain smooth rotation and light combined load capacity.
- Stainless construction resists rust in food, pharma, marine and outdoor settings.
- ZZ shields suit low-torque, relatively clean locations; 2RS contact seals keep water, dust and washdown chemistry out of the raceway.
Available Range and Application Fit
The SS 6800 series covers ten commonly used model groups. Each can be supplied as open, ZZ or 2RS, with standard or custom grease. Detailed data pages are available for SS 686 ZZ/2RS stainless steel deep groove ball bearings and SS 6800 ZZ/2RS stainless steel deep groove ball bearings.

For larger axes, this series sits beside Stainless Steel Deep Groove Ball Bearings in SS 6000, SS 6200, SS 6300 and SS 6900 configurations, so you do not need a different rolling-element type when shaft diameters grow.
Materials, Sealing and Lubrication
We match material to the working environment rather than applying one stainless grade to the whole range. The available material set includes AISI 420, 440, 440C, 304 and 316, plus GCr15 when stainless is not required.
- AISI 304 and 316 provide higher corrosion resistance for washdown, humid and mildly chemical environments.
- AISI 440C provides high hardness and wear resistance for moderate corrosion conditions and higher-speed operation.
- GCr15 remains a cost-effective baseline when the housing or sealing system handles the corrosion risk.
Lubricant is selected after speed, temperature and washdown frequency are known. Grease type and fill volume can be adjusted to the application, and sealing choice is usually the deciding factor for service life: contact seals protect the raceway, while shields reduce drag in clean enclosures.
Factory Support and Quality Control
Our manufacturing base, Ningbo Weijun Bearing Co., Ltd., was established in 2016 and covers more than 8,000 square meters. The factory focuses on deep groove ball bearing production with an annual capacity of 13–15 million sets, which gives us the flexibility to run catalog SS 6800 sizes and custom stainless steel variants on the same production schedule.
Process control follows the bearing through precision machining, heat treatment, grinding, assembly and rotation testing. Before shipment, each lot is checked for inner and outer diameter, roundness, flatness and visual condition. The Aosen export team applies an additional quality pass before packing, so the delivered bearing matches the approved sample and the agreed specification.
As a China-based factory exporter, we also support OEM configurations, custom packaging and export documentation. The in-house relationship between Aosen and Weijun lets us keep production and quality-control decisions under one roof rather than passing them to a third party.
Supported Customization
- Non-standard bores, outer diameters and widths from drawings or samples
- Extended inner rings and grooved outer rings for mounting and locating
- Special tolerance classes for noise-sensitive or high-precision assemblies
- Custom sealing, grease type, grease fill and surface treatment
- Agreed first-article inspection before mass production
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
The proposal we prepare starts from the actual mounting point, not just a model number. The more precisely these inputs are defined, the closer the first sample will be to your assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the SS 6800 series offer compared with the SS 6000 or SS 6200 series?
The 6800 section is thinner in outer diameter and width for the same bore, reducing radial space. It is a good fit for compact motor and instrument designs. If the shaft or load grows, the SS 6000 and SS 6200 families are natural next steps.
Is stainless steel fully corrosion-proof?
No material is corrosion-proof in every chemistry. AISI 304 and 316 provide strong resistance in water, humidity and mild chemical environments; correct sealing and grease are still required, especially during washdown.
Can the series be customized beyond a standard catalog size?
Yes. Non-standard bore, extended inner ring, grooved outer ring, special tolerances, sealing, grease and surface treatment can all be adjusted. We develop from a drawing or sample and confirm the first article before mass production.
How do I choose between ZZ and 2RS?
ZZ shields are lower torque and suit clean, dry housings. 2RS contact seals protect against water spray, dust and cleaning agents. If in doubt, 2RS is usually the safer choice for washdown or outdoor equipment.
What quality checks are performed before export?
We verify material, dimensions, roundness, flatness and rotation during production. The factory and export teams both inspect the finished lot before packing, so matching to the approved sample is controlled at two stages.
